MEF Digital Art Studio

Concept Illustration - MEF Digital Art Studio
The capability to create digital art that will compete on a national level will soon be a reality for Mishawaka High School students! Thanks to the largest single donation given by the Mishawaka Education Foundation, Mishawaka's Art Department will install (28) state of the art workstations that will facilitate the merging of traditional art creation and digital methods.

"Making the Best Better"

Already one of the Region's most awarded art programs, the Mishawaka Art Department, chaired by The Ann Hamilton Inspirational Educator Award winner (2016) Ryan Sargeant, was awarded almost $120,000 at the October 25th Board of School Trustees meeting.

The Technology Department is working with Mr Sargeant to create a modern, dynamic, state of the art work space that will serve MHS students like never before. Each work station will be outfitted with a top of the line 27"  iMac and a Wacom digital tablet and pen and placed on a custom desk created specifically for this application. The computers would be outfitted with industry standard software including Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, and Pixar's Renderman!

Technology is working closely with a local furniture designer and an Architect firm in Ft Wayne to design a unique space that will attract area high school artists and add to this one of a kind experience.
